Origins
The Rotary Club of Saanich Foundation has existed for many years. It is a specific program of the Rotary Club of Saanich, and is distinct from the Rotary Foundation (International). It was started from a bequest, and has been supported over the years by various Club members.
Purpose
It’s fundamental purpose is to support a number of local charities. Club members, and others, wishing to direct charitable gifts for local distribution are encouraged to support the Club Foundation. In our Club’s 50th Anniversary Year a gift of $5000.00 from our Club Foundation was given to the Queen Alexandra Foundation For Children to help remodel and refurnish a clinic room in the Queeen Alexandra Centre For Children’s Health Adolescent Mental Health Program.
Support
It is a registered charity in the Province of British Columbia, and is able to offer charitable tax receipts for all donations to it. Should you wish to support this Foundation please do so by cheque, made out to the Rotary Club of Saanich Foundation, and direct it to the Club Treasurer.
